Welcome to Competitive White Noise 2!

This is the home of all the versions of my competitive mod for White Noise 2. The mod includes a variety of changes spanning from character perk reworks, creature gameplay changes, character stat overhauls and a multitude of other game-changing balance features. If you want to join in on the action, download the latest version and click the new "Competitive" button you will see after you press "PLAY". Competitive will not work if you are not on the latest version, older versions are kept for archival and changelogging purposes.

- Fixed an issue causing the Creature to not see Investigators that were in the Creature's Perception radius during the finale.

- Replaced the feature that stops a Creature being banished by a clue to instead flash the Creature. The Creature will instead be banished if they are already flashed.

- The Investigators and the Creature can now see normal chat. Quick chat is still invisible.

- Fixed a major issue that caused some features of Competitive lobbies to still function in Standard lobbies.

- Hopefully fixed some issues with "NullReferenceException".

- Disabled the Creature's ability to see the outline of survivors in the finale.

- Disabled the Investigators' ability to see the outline of the artifact in the finale.

- Disabled the Investigators' ability to banish the Creature by collecting a clue near the Creature.

- The Investigators now need to be close to each other to see quick chat in the text area.

- The Investigators and the Creature can no longer see each others messages while the game is active.

- The Compass is now affected by Exploration.
- The Lightsticks now take 25s to recharge (up from 20s).
- The Creature's Skill Usage is no longer reduced when Investigators are devoured.

- Idols will now show whether or not they are capped in their description.
- The Idol Construct now increases per Idol summoned.
- The Idol Gemini will now increase the Creature's Speed by 0.66% up to a maximum of 9.9%
- The Idol Thorns no longer decreases the Investigators' Hearing or Vitality, decreasing their Speed and Endurance by 0.66%, up to a maximum of 9.9%
- Some Creatures have had their stats adjusted.
- Bots have been temporarily removed until I can make them more fun to play with.
- The Creature AI will no longer bug out when starting a match while the Creature role is not taken by a player.

- Greatly improved the mechanical skill of the Investigator AI and reduced the degree to which they cheat.
- Nerfed the Troglodyte skin for Subject 23.
- Nerfed the Venous skin for Rusalka.
- Changed Okiku to feel more playable early game and greatly reduced her snowballing potential, acting more like a passive.
- Increased the Speed at which the Creature moves while being dazzled by 10%.
- Fixed some miscellaneous bugs that probably didn't visually change anything.
- Removed the ability to start the game with a Creature player and no Investigator players. Not sure why it stopped working.
- Re-added Herobrine because the game felt too lonely.
- Reduced the rate at which Investigators lose hunger by 20% per Energy Bar consumed.
- Side-graded some Flashlights that lost Speed from the nerfs or Flashlights that have a reduced Speed in vanilla.

- Decreased the Speed of Investigators that are wounded.
- Modified the Medkit so it doesn't completely remove the wounded penalty if you got grabbed twice.
- Increased the Speed of Creatures when being burned by light sources.
- Decreased the Sanity Recovery Rate of the Sphynx Idol from 5% up to 7.5%.
- Fixed the performance issue in the Competitive lobby menu screen.
- Removed Herobrine.

- Fixed most of the ones I ran into last night.

- Changed the Speed of all characters to a base Speed of 6.
- I changed the stats of some Creatures but I'm too lazy to list them, but overall it's mostly buffs.
- Gemini now increases the Creature's Speed by 0.666% (down from 0.7%).

- Greatly improved the usability of the Competitive lobby system.
- Temporary regression in the performance in Competitive lobbies.
- All players must be ready to start a match.
- Rank system has been improved and most bugs fixed.
- (REWORK) Made it so Medkits no longer heal you. Instead, they make your max health your current health, resetting the speed penalty you receive for getting grabbed.
- Temporary bug with Creatures not gaining Speed on certain skins.
- The Compass is now more inaccurate.
- Reduced Hannah's Speed by 2 and increased her Endurance by 2.
- Reduced Denali's Speed by 2 and increased her Endurance by 2.
- Reduced Yumi's Speed by 1.
- Lights no longer give a Speed bonus, only a penalty.
- Slightly buffed the Lightstick cooldown.
- Cooldowns are no longer affected by Exploration and Vitality, again.

- The Classic Ambience will now be completely silent in Ranked to promote more Creature audio cues.
- The Back button on the main menu now prompts to leave the game.
- Compass is now affected by Exploration, clamped to prevent it from being too strong.
- Lightsticks are now affected by Vitality (instead of Exploration,) clamped for the same reason as the Compass.
- The Compass cooldown is now reduced for each Investigator that is devoured.
- Morgul's Base Speed has been increased to 5 (up from 3).
- The Creature AI is still shit.
- The Idol Blister now decreases Investigators' Exploration by 4% (up from 3%).
- (REWORK) The Idol Sphynx now decreases the Investigators' Sanity Recovery Rate by 5% for each Idol summoned.
- The Idol Watcher now marks Investigators for 12s (up from 8s).
- (REWORK) The Idol Thorns now decreases the Investigators' Endurance, Hearing, Speed and Vitality by 0.5% for each Idol summoned.
- (REWORK) The Idol Construct now decreases the Investigators' Battery Life by 75% when within 16m of an Idol.
- (REWORK) The Idol Gargoyle now decreases the Investigators' Battery Life by 3% for each Idol summoned.

- The Idol Gemini now increases the creature's Speed by 0.75% instead of decreasing the Investigators' Speed.
- The Idol Gargoyl now decreases the Investigators' Stealth by 30% (up from 20%).

- The Creature's Endurance increase from being flashed has been increased.

- The level is uncapped from 100 to 1000.
- Removed Phileas's "Big Boy" trait, making him resist 1 less grab from the creature.
- Removed Vincent's "Elder" trait, making him resist 1 more grab from the creature.
- Denali's "Hacker" trait no longer affects the effectiveness of used medkits.
- Decreased Hannah's backwards movement from 30% to 20%.
- Decreased Hannah's deafness from 40% to 30%.
- Exploration no longer affects the recovery of the compass, lightsticks and ghost fire.
- Compass takes 30 seconds to recover in a 1v1 and 75 seconds to recover in a (2-4)v1.
- Lightsticks takes 25 seconds to recover in a 1v1 and 50 seconds to recover in a (2-4)v1.
- Ghost fire takes 50 seconds to recover in a 1v1.
- The investigators no longer receive an autobalance buff if a clue isn't collected for a long time.
- The amount of special clues will always be equal to the amount of investigators in the match.
- There will always be 8 clues in the match regardless of how many players there are.
- Medkits no longer spawn, and there are other item spawn tweaks.
- There are less sigils to break in the finale.
- Decreased Okiku's banish gains from 7% to 5%.
- Removed the cap of all idols, making them more effective after roughly 10 idols.
- The idol Gemini decreases the investigators' speed by 0.7% instead of 0.5%.
- The idol Construct now increases the creatures' skill usage recovery by 100%.
- The idol Gargoyle now affects investigators up to a range of 32m instead of 20m.
- The creature no longer receives an autobalance buff if a grab hasn't happened for a long time.
